Owner, Director, & Coach Drew Wendol
With over 25+ years coaching & playing experience, Coach Wendol is the current Varsity Lacrosse Coach (started the program in 2003), as well as a Physical Education teacher,at Hastings UFSD, where he also served six years as Athletic Director (2002-08). He has also coached Varsity Lacrosse at Bronxville H.S. (1997-2000), was the Future Stars Camps Lacrosse Director (2005-07), coached the Renegades 17U Elite Lacrosse Tournament Team (2008), served on the Empire State Boys Lacrosse Selection Committee (1998-2001, 2008), and has run numerous clinics & camps throughout the area. As a standout collegiate player at Cortland College, he finished 4th on the all-time goal scoring list and 14th on the all-time points scoring list. Coach Wendol continues to play locally and was honored with tryouts for the 2006 Men’s World Outdoor, 2007 Men’s Indoor United States World, & Long Island Lizards Professional Lacrosse Teams.
Besides Lacrosse, Coach Wendol is also an all-around standout athlete, having played Soccer, Football, Basketball, & Hockey throughout High School and beyond. He also has extensive coaching experience in Basketball, Soccer, Tennis, Cheerleading, Volleyball, Cross Country, & Fencing. As the Athletic Director, Drew was the Boys Lacrosse, Girls Lacrosse, Boys Soccer, & Awards Chairperson, as well as a member of the Con Edision "Athlete of the Week" Selection Committee.

Lacrosse & Soccer Coach Robert Scholl
Coach “Bob” Scholl has over 8+ years of lacrosse camp instructional experience. He has worked as an lacrosse instructor for the Future Stars Camps, Hastings Recreation Department, OnTrack Sport Center, Gargoyle Athletics, and Wendol Worldwide Athletics. Besides lacrosse, Bob is also an instructor for the Boys & Girls Indoor Soccer program. He was also a standout soccer and ice hockey player.
Robert is a cum laude graduate who holds; an A.A.S in Visual arts, a B.A. in English, and is half way through his Masters work in Secondary Education. With his background (Minor) in Psychology, Robert has become an irreplaceable asset to our programs due to his ability to apply the concepts associated with Sports Psychology to instill self-confidence and reinforce the importance of sportsmanship and personal growth for all of our participants.

Girls Lacrosse Coach Natasha Williams
Coach Natasha Williams has tremendus lacrosse experience as a player and coach. She is currently the Varsity Girls Lacrosse Coach at New Rochelle High School, where she was named the 2010 Section I Coach of the year. She has coached at all levels at camps and Travel teams. As a standout collegiate lacrosse player at LIU C.W.Post, she was a 2001 D2 national Champion and semi-Fimalist each of her remaining years at CW Post. Natasha played midfield on the Long Island lady Lizards, which is the Women's version of the MLL Long Island Lizards Pro Team, where she was a standout player and captain of the team. Currently, she plays for Team Lacrosse Unlimited Travel Team.
Lacrosse Coach Collin Ryan
Coach Ryan has been active in lacrosse for over 30 years. He is currently the Assistant Varsity Boys Lacrosse at Hastings H.S, where he has coached the Modified Boys Lacrosse team (2009). He has also served as the Assistant Varsity Boys Lacrosse coach at Peekskill H.S (2007-2008) and the Warwick Youth Boys Lacrosse coach (2003-2005). Collin hasbeen active with Gargoyle Athletics as a coach for 7th & 8th Grade Elite Travel Team, Varsity Indoor Travel Team, and Boys & Girls Lacrosse Clinic Instructor. Coach Ryan played at SUNY Cobleskill and continues to compete at the post-collegiate level on multiple teams. He he the owner and operator of CPR Hardwood Flooring, Inc.

Lacrosse Coach Bruce Reitenbach
Bruce has been active in the lacrosse world for over 36+ years. Bruce is currently the Head Varsity Lacrosse Coach at Pleasantville High School, holding the position since 2009. Since arriving, Pleasantville has won the league championship both years during his tenure and built the foundation for a successful program. Prior to Pleasantville, Bruce started the lacrosse program at Eastchester High School, where he currently teaches, holding the position of Head Varsity Lacrosse Coach for four years. In addition to HS coaching, Bruce coached at the collegiate level at United States Military Academy at West Point for two years (91-92) and has many years of experience coaching at the youth level.
A starter and leading scorer (244 career points) for four years at Binghamton Central High School, Bruce earned a number of accolades, culminating with being named All-American as a senior. Following HS, Bruce attended prestigious Cornell University, and enjoyed a successful playing career. Advancing to three NCAA Championship tournaments, Bruce helped advance Cornell to the NCAA Final Four in his senior season. On the club level, Bruce played for the Central New York club team in the mid-1980s and the Rusty Red lacrosse team in the Sound Shore league in 1997 and 98. Presently, he plays for the Hound Dawg LC in the spring Masters league (in CT) and for the Gargoyle Athletic lacrosse team in the Sound Shore Masters summer league, as well as the Sailin' Shoe lacrosse club in the Lake Placid lacrosse tournament.
Bruce eared a Bachelor's of Science in Communication Arts degree from Cornell University in 1982, and a Master's of Science from the State University of New York at New Paltz in 2000.

Lacrosse Coach Dennis Butler
Coach Butler has over 15+ years of lacrosse coaching experience, working with various youth programs, clinics, camps, and players throughout the county. He is currently the Assistant Men's Lacrosse Defensive Coordinator coach at PACE University. As a standout collegiate lacrosse goalie at Ithaca College, Dennis was a four time first team All Emprire 8 Conference Selection player. He was also named to the USILA All-American List 3 times, was Rookie of the Year, and was ranked 7th in all-time saves in Division III. Coach Butler joins the Gargoyle Athletics staff as the Goalie Specialist.

Lacrosse & Football Coach Stephen Yurek
Coach Yurek has 15+ years of coaching experience at all levels. He currently is the Offensive Coordinator & Head Assistant Football coach at Hastings High School, where he is a Middle & High School Mathematics Teacher and Chess Team Supervisor. Besides coaching the Varsity Football & Chess teams, Coach Yurek has also coached Basketball, Girls Soccer, and Lacrosse. Steve has been active with Gargoyle Athletics as a Boys & Girls Lacrosse and Flag Football Instructor. He is a wonderful addition to the Gargoyle Athletics team.

Lacrosse Coach Christina Gagliardi
Christina Gagliardi was a two year captain and starter for the Hastings Yellow Jacket Girls Lacrosse Team (2006-2007). At the time that she graduated, she was the leading goal scorer and point leader in her teams history with 63 goals and 5 assists for a total of 68 points. According to her coach, "Christina was the most graceful left handed player that he has seen in a long time." This helped Christina earn honors from the league as an All-League player in both her Junior and Senior year. She has over 5+ years lacrosse clinic/camp experience. She is currently attending SUNY Oswego College.

Lacrosse Coach Ana Alilovic
Ana Alilovic has over years 7 years lacrosse experience. She was a standup Three Year Varsity Defensive Player for the Hastings Yellow Jackets Lacrosse Team (2008-2010). Ana has been working year round lacrosse camps and clinics for over 4 years and brings a lot of fun and excitment to her teaching/coaching style. She currently attends Westchester Community College.

Lacrosse Coach Brett Miranda
Brett Miranda currently is a senior standout midfielder for the D1 Manhattan College Jaspers. Playing in 41 games, he has tallied 12 goals, 2 assists, and 27 groundballs. He was selected to the MAAC All-Academic Team twice. Before College, he was a standout four year varsity Attackmen and two-time captain at Ossining High School. He was named All-Section twice, led New York State Section I in both goals and points as a senior and ranks fourth all-time in Section I with 325 career points. Besides lacrosse, Brett earned All-State, All-Section, and All-League honors, as well as awarded the National Football Foundation Golden Dozen Award, in football and played Varsity Ice Hockey for five years. He was named to the Journal News All-Star team in all three sports. All while being a Member of the National Honor Society.

Lacrosse Coach Matt Solomito
Matt Solomito currently is a senior standout goalie for the D1 Manhattan College Jaspers. Matt has earned a starting spot in many games, tallying 58 saves and 12 groundballs. Before College, he had a standout career between the pipes at Sachem East High School, LI. His senior year, he earned All-Division and All County honors, as well as the team MVP. Besides lacrosse, Matt earned the President's Award for Physical Education and the Coaches Award, was a member of the Sachem East's Super 7 Championship team , and won four letters in football.
